Speech on the Post-transition Period

It is a great honour to speak after my right hon. Friend the Member for Wokingham (John Redwood) and hear his impassioned plea for a vision about life in Britain after Brexit. Let me say one thing on that.

Statement on regional restrictions

There are only three possible broad approaches to restrictions to tackle the pandemic:  

do nothing 
have national restrictions 
have localised restrictions based on the level of local infection

Statement on second lockdown vote

MPs who are far longer serving than me say this lockdown vote is the hardest they have ever made. It is a life and death issue, but so much more than that – it is about people’s livelihoods and liberties, and the sort of country we live in.

New cancer hospital delivered for South Cambridgeshire

Anthony Browne, MP for South Cambridgeshire has welcomed the announcement of funding for a new cancer hospital to be built alongside Addenbrookes.

The Prime Minister announced £120 million in funding for the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital (CCRH) this evening (Friday 2 October).
