On the 3rd March 2022, Anthony was elected as Chairman of the Backbench Treasury Select Committee, bringing his experience of economic policy to bear to bring forward Conservative policies. The Committee is charged with developing policies up to the next election, and is currently gathering evidence from politicians, think tanks, and business groups, on which reforms could promite growth, investment and economic prosperity for the UK.
