Anthony Browne, MP for South Cambridgeshire held his first-ever Street Surgery, taking questions from the public on Friday (31 July) at Cambourne Morrisons.
He was joined by County Councillor Mark Howell, for an event made a little different as everyone leaving the supermarket was wearing masks in line with Government advice. Stationed outside, customers and residents were able to have socially distanced chats with their MP and fill in his mobile phone survey.
Anthony has been engaging with consitituents throughout the Coronavirus epidemic, using zoom surgeries and livestreams on various platforms.
The pair spent almost two hours chatting with shoppers. Anthony later commented: "It was a delight to hear from people face-to-face, albeit socially distanced, and I hope this will become a staple of not just the recess but also throughout the year and across the consituency. Thank you to Morrisons for letting us set up outside their store and to the many constituents who stopped by."
