Anthony Browne, MP for South Cambridgeshire, today (April 8) took part in the latest Treasury Select Committee Evidence Session, part of a number of virtual sessions being held in relation to the economic impacts of Coronavirus policy.
The Committee heard from Jim Harra, First Permanent Secretary and Chief Executive of HMRC and Cerys McDonald, Director of CV-19 policy co-ordination for HMRC.
A number of concerns were raised, including the necessity for a quick and easy payment scheme and detailed analysis of the impacts of policy on certain groups of workers.
