East West Rail is embarking on the largest infrastructure project to impact South Cambridgeshire since the industrial revolution.
Since the launch of the latest consultation, I have held four public meetings, spoken with campaigners, and heard your views on the doorstep. One message came across clearly - the East West Rail Consultation was simply inadequate.
It fundamentally ignored reasonable questions about route alignments, lacked detail on key issues such as electrification, and included no diagrams of major structures such as embankments, bridges, and cuttings. Without this clarity, it is difficult to make any feedback meaningful.
You deserve better. As your Member of Parliament, I want to ensure you are heard.
But I can’t do that without your help.
I would like to know your opinion on some of the key issues that emerged from the consultation and am asking you to fill in the short survey below. The survey takes less than two minutes to complete and will shape my future response on all things EWR.
